Kind of looking like we need 1 complete thread for everything, like the hockey pucks had for 2010.....that seem to work, so let's try it here and put in the info that we want to share.
So, starting out, it looks like we know:
100,000 sets (could be more, but not likely)
max of 5 per household to start
Price is $299
Goes on sale 10/27/2011 @ noon (Eastern)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I LOVE modern mint mania!

I'm thinking 6 hours or less.

It took about 4 days for the 2009 Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set to sell out... that was just as hyped as this set. The website came to a crawl and the phones were jammed for several hours... I didn't place my order until about 5pm EST on the first day and it went through in a couple minutes. But that one was only one per household with a mintage of 50,000... so 50,000 orders.
Potentially, if everyone buys 5 of these, they'll sell the 100,000 mintage in only 20,000 orders. But I'm guessing many collectors will only buy one or two sets, so more than 20,000 orders will need to be placed. I bet you'll still be able to order these on Friday and probably even on Saturday, but I'm probably not going to wait until then.

<< <i>So I have question if I order two boxes do they come in the same package? or should I order them separately and pay for shipping twice because im wanting to keep one and sell the other but i want both of the boxes unopened? >>
I think you would have to place a second seperat3 order to get two sets in two boxes.
Could be risky.
I'm just ordering two when and if I can connect.

I'm so confused!

Yes, if you want 2 separate sets then you need to place separate order numbers. That's how the mint operates and to do anything else would take resources and cause potential issues.

I'm not into modern stuff so I have no idea
In other words, good for investment or no?

Depends on what you are looking for. Quick flips will likely be best, but the market will still get hit hard when the massive flippers, and there will be more than a few that go out of their way to get many many sets, let loose. Reason is that most will get the 5 sets and want to get the most they can....the ones with the large number of sets will want to get their profits and get their money back to move on to the next thing. This has been repeated over and over on the major flips.
They are likely to remain above sale value, but how far above is anyone's guess. The 2006 sets were $100 and still go for $300+ I believe. I recall selling some of the sets almost immediately upon receipt for $160/set on ebay. I made money (60%) but left a LOT of money on the table. I also watched sealed sets go for ~$800/set for a very brief time. I kept my sealed set of 5 until earlier this year. Instead of $4000, I got ~$1800 or so. I did NOT hit the sweet spot but danced all around it, it appears.
So, investment? I wouldn't. Flipping material, yep, most likely.

Sounds like sealed sets could approach $1,000 at the peak of the frenzy if you can catch it.
P.S. I feel sorry for those trying to get through at Noon on Thursday. I plan to wait until mid to late afternoon.
