Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Remember years ago when Laura said she did NOT do coins AFTER 1917????

Well, once she started including coins after 1917, she found what I had been searching for 25 YEARS PLUS!

There it was, I was stunned. It was a done deal. She makes it look so easy.

My biggest purchases in two years.

I am glad that Laura finally found the 64-D Lincoln cent that you were seeking. image

I am a little annoyed that I was scooped again by MJ. image

Our peers have been reminding us that the typically market slows in the 4th Quarter.

I'd think it'd be the summer months.

But I'm going to go out on a limb here and say their records don't show that, either. image

    Thanks for posting, MJ.

But I always thought the 4th quarter was pretty strong numismatically speaking, after the summer doldrums, etc.

While you may be just joking here, or perhaps trying to make a point, I'm certain there are plenty of dealers who can help you out with your desire. Just go to any coin show

    Is it May, 1964?

Only this time it isn't rolls and bags but certified dreck.

If we're talking 95 cents on the dollar, I'm out. At 30 cents on the dollar, load me up. Too bad Laura wasn't a little more specific about this.

Interesting that they exclude 1908 nm saints from their 66CAC buy list. I understand that they are the most common date and tend to come with flattish strikes, but they
are still impressive coins in all there MS66.

Legend not predicting gold to make another run towards new highs in 2011.......contrarians take note. image

Have to disagree with their comments that high end gem type, etc. from the 2008 peak has hardly seen any drop. It might be that they are referring to only the top 5% of all
gem type....and that excludes even stickered gem type in the top 20-35%. From my view, other than choice 6 or 7 figure rarities, finest knowns and pop tops, there is little in the
way of gem type, gem gold, reg set coins that are anything near their 2008 highs. Out of 100 nice coins for the grade, maybe only the top 5 or so coins have held value or increased
over their 2008 levels, assuming that the general average coin for the grade hasn't somehow increased as well. That would account for that fact that MS64 and MS65 common Morgans
for example are higher now than they were in 2008, regardless of the quality. But those are unusual exceptions that bucked the generally downward market trends. And one can
probably exclude 100 out of 100 coins if they are non-PCGS...stickered ones included.
