The bear got in a fight?
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

64, if the reverse color is accurate I would be concerned with PVC activity. image

    64, shot at 65.

I will guess remorse is over the snout scar.

    64. Hit on the bear's nose / marks on the bear which I think are on the coin, not just the holder.

    If it's in a 64+/65 holder, I'd definitely have buyer's remorse.

There are some curious looking specks on the obverse that might be PVC, but could just be toning. Hard to say.

The more coins you see, the more experience you have, the more "buyer's remorse" you will get to have.

Very true. Also, is that dip residue spotting on the obverse?

Looks like some sort of water borne spotting.

From what? PVC on silver coins would be manifested as a milky haze and not so many discreet round spots.

You just might get over it when you look at it in hand. Those plate size images show all the warts.

well my remorse is not seeing the gash on the nose when I first saw it and bid

my excuse is I first saw it on my small netbook at work and didnt look close enough, or long enough and put in a bid

got home miday and brought it up on my larger screen and saw the gash.......3 hrs later won the coin

    I dont see PVC indicated

I think we have a few diff lighting setups here, coin discribed as golden toned.....without the
coin in hand, im surprised its a 64 in a older holder...we'll see

    after thoughts ????
