Computor Illiterate Needs Help w/Paypal Shipping Printing Please !!!

Evening,

Started using Paypal shipping couple of weeks ago, been fairly happy, although it does take a little longer to package stuff. Anyway everything was going good until today I used up the packages of 50 I bought at Staples and plugged my first one in of the 1000 I bought off the Internet. Now when it prints it is printing outside of the label and is adding another line of text on the other label on the same sheet. When I flip it to do the second label on the sheet it prints the extra line again and they both end up right through the Address of the oppisite label. Perhaps coincidence, but I am lost. I scanned one to show, the added dashed line I put in with a sharpie so you can see where the two labels are on the sheet. I can't tell if the problem is my Scanner/Printer, Computor, USPS, Paypal, What?? They are not being loaded/pulled into the Printer any different than always even though this one looks a little tilted.

Help??

Thanks
Neil

Neil first off what type of printer. Does it look like this label matches up exactly like the other labels did? The reason I ask is I have seen some labels with different brands shifted either a little up or a little down on a page compared to others.

Some printers I believe are able to detect what type of label is coming through and adjusts to match it while others you have to go into the settings and manually select exactly what you are using. Once the paper settings are correct it will quit printing that 2nd page, or you can at least when the window pops up to print a label tell it to only print page 1.
  • I just use regular print paper and then cut it around the dotted lines and use the same tape I use to seal the box over the label. Easy and fast and way cheaper then using self adhesive labels.
  • Evening,

I am starting to see it is somehow the settings in the Scanner/Printer but I have looked at all the options and can't find any option for like a two per page label sheet/page. It is an HP Deskjet 4100 series, about 3-4 years old. Is there something you can download to add to your printer?

Too damm much Tape, labels are only .05 cents each....Cheap. Tape is more expensive to cover the whole label, plus I have a 1000 of these things now and They Are getting used!!

Neil you can go to hp.com and look under support for your printer. Make sure to update all the drivers and if there is any sort of extra software for printing for your model you may want to download that also. A lot of times with HP they will have additional software on the website for models which helps make it really easy to print on stuff like labels or envelopes.
  • I get the printing on the bottom all of the time.. But mine is at the edge of the page... Are you sure your paper is being fed right? Looks like the printing thinks the paper starts before it actually does.
