Merc collectors, check out eBay today

I just was looking at eBay and if you received a big tax refund, there are people selling expensive Mercs listed today. I am not sure if there are any bargains... many at PCGS retail opening bid... but it is nice to see something besides 40s Mercs for sale.

Dennis, are you serious about the 68? It is a no bands coin, but too rich for my blood with all the holes I have right now.

The current Merc listings include 2 (!!) 1921-P's in 64FB. One is an ACG, with the photo link not working, and a PCGS that looks VERY flat (date, Liberty's hair, and feathers in cap) on the obverse. Also an NGC 1916-D 64FB. Several other better dates from the teens and twenties that look OK, but as Deep Coin pointed out, the starting prices are high.

Ken, how long do you have to stand in the corner?

                        Dennis,

I put in a bid on the coin you are interest in, but only to keep track of it. My bid was well below what the reserve price is sure to be.

I just paid my taxes...ouch.. and picked up a nice 23-P, so my funds are tapped out right now. I will be interested to see what the final bid is and if it is above reserve.

                        Ken and Dennis,

That 1919-D is the same coin that was in the March 24 Teletrade auction as lot #1150. The spot on the neck and a dark area to the right of the mintmark give it away. I was thinking of bidding on it then, but the spot was too distracting. I saved a picture of it; if you PM me with your e-mail, I'll send it to you. Posting it here might violate their copyright.

                        Good luck with your bids.

                        Jim:
I had BOWED OUT on the 19D which Dennis Just Won on eBay. I could have Lived with the Little Spot on it. If the Spot is Real Dis-Tracting I Am Sure Dennis Will let Us Know.
IMO that 19D is a Very Tough Coin to put the Hands on.
Good Job and Good Addition Dennis !! This is Said with Envy.image

                              1. WOW, I finally got one.....YEA!!!!!!imageimage
I hope the spot is not to distracting...if so, it may get replaced, like my 18d will ONE of the days....image
I had to give a little more for the coin than planned, but it really looks nice. I will update everyone, when I get it.

Coin show was a flop, no foot traffic.....image But I met a few collectors that have made a few requests, I quess thats better than a kick in the teeth....lol

Thanks for the support of Ken, Jim, and Rick...image
