  • Thank you for the link. So AEM is stopping production at it's Quebec gold mine? Are they telling us there's too high a supply and NOT enough demand for gold now?

This stock was highly recommended by Cramer several months ago....... I think it's time to get out of the market totally. Cash is king and I'll wait to invest in real estate.

    Yep, that's the plan

It's more a safety concern knowing that the rock above your head is cracked, unstable, and leaking water into the mine. The Goldex mine represented about
half of AEM's proven and probable reserves, about 17% of annual production at their lowest cash cost, and about 15-20% of their total resources.

  • Thanks RR, don't you think a "reputable" financial advisor such as Cramer would have known about the "cracks, water leaking into mine" BEFORE he would have recommended it!!!! image

He probably didn't know. The stock price didn't seem to reflect any of this until today's open. It's action up until yesterday's close was indentical to the other seniors.

Cramer turned negative on AEM a long time ago, many months ago. His current favorite gold miner is Goldcorp.

I've done really well with his 'accidental high yielders' buying stocks like Deere, Verizon, Conoco Phillips at depressed levels and getting a nice dividend yield.
