Would you make this Michael Jordan RC deal?--UPDATE: DEAL MADE

I was offered an interesting trade last night.-----------DEAL has been made. He is shipping to me first, so there is no risk on my end. He needs the card for his registry which answers why he is willing to give up more on his end.
I give up: 1986 Fleer PSA 8.5
and I recieve: 1986 Fleer BGS 8.5 (subs: centering 8.5, corners 9, edges 9, surface 8.5) + 86 Fleer Jordan Sticker PSA 8 + $100 in cash.
Base your response off a pure net return, as I am trying to sell my Jordan PSA 8.5. Scans Below!

<< <i>What kind of hit would you take if that BGS doesn't cross over to an 8.5? >>
I would probably just sell the Jordan card in the BGS 8.5 holder, versus trying to cross it over. I dont think it would bump to a 9.
Best case (I think there is a decent shot at it):
It crosses (maybe upgrade) - you win
worst case
it crosses as an 8- you about break even, I don't see any downside
assuming my values are about correct on the Jordan grades, I don't see an INCREDIBLE premium of PSA versus BGS on this card...
8= ~550-600
8.5= ~750-800
9= ~1200-1300

I wouldn't try to cross it over either Matt.
It would seem interesting that the other party wouldn't try to cross this card over first unless he already did that. It just seems odd to me unless there is a big price difference between the PSA and BGS graded cards which I have no clue about. Does VCP list the type of grading service for the cards sold? This is not my area so excuse my ignorance.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>That's why I would be so apprehensive. I mean why would the other person offer so much for the same card? Almost too good to be true... >>
Agree with this. If a deal is too good to be true it usually is. What is the other party's incentivie or benefit from making this deal?

The only thing I can think of is that the person really needs it for his registry set and the loss of value on the trade doesn't matter assuming that everything on his side is on the up and up.

Shut the hell up.
Hang up the phone.
Put in the order.
Supply and demand. He can't get a guitar like I have in Norway so he's willing to make it worth my while. So, after shipping I should still come out around $700-800 up on the deal.

You nailed it. He wants the card for his registry, and is willing to give up more on his end to get the 8.5. He is sending everything first, so there is no risk to me. I should have in hand by Friday/Saturday of this week.
Thanks for everyone's opinion.
I guess you have a BGS 8.5 Jordan RC for sale now.
