Thoughts on this mark on MPL?

Is this a strike through? From lint or a fabric thread or maybe a wee bit of wire? It appears to be entirely beneath the letter D but with faint traces in the E below. Pretty microscopic but I believe it's incuse.

John, thanks for the nice MPL. I collect MS Lincolns but sometimes I stray.
It was a lot more difficult to shoot than I expected. It's not as good as it could be but I lost patience.

I've read that dies for proof coins were often wiped with a cloth. I guess that might explain it.
