Ebay situation

Just had a buyer send me a message saying that another Ebay member (hemichallenjah) sent him a message warning him that I shill bid my auctions. He gave him the name of my shill bidder, a guy who has 1% bid history with me. I went to add hemichallenjah to my BBL any found he was already on there. Don't recall any issues with him, possible he got added because of a discussion here. Isn't it against Ebays policy to contact anyone for any reason other than a specific item?
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

Supposedly it is no longer possible to contact another bidder for an item because the names are kept anonymously.

    Is that not the situation?

You are probably right about this being against one of eBay's policies, but I would simply add the person who contacted you to your BBL and forget about it. In my experience eBay has no time to settle this kind of dispute. Did person who contacted you seem to have a reason for telling you this? I can't think of a legitimate reason for sending this kind of message.

    Lots of goofballs out there.

  • The person who contacted me said he wanted me to be aware of the situation, he was not saying I was shilling. It might be Ebay buyer bizzaro day, I had another guy contact me saying he pre-paid for all of the cards he has was going to win from the auction ending tonight, and could I send them out today.

    yikes

    what crap.

Ebay can easily tell which computer a bid came from. and therefore detect most shilling if they want to. If asked they will run a check.

I actually just prepaid for all the cards you will ever list on ebay, so you can just send everything out to me now.

Wow Dave..... what kind of nut magnet have you turned into??? I'd call Ebay and report that member, but I'm sure nothing will come of it.
