How much width variation is valid on 1969 topps

Hi,

I have a lot of raw 1969s (baseball), and have noticed some variation on the width. The height looks perfectly uniform, but I am trying to decide if the cards have been trimmed. Question is, how much variation is legit and possible on raw cards directly from the factory? The cards don't show any other obvious signs of trimming, but I would not be shocked if they were trimmed either.

My experience is that whether manufacturing variances exist or not, PSA will not tolerate them. You have MAYBE 1/32" leeway.

thanks! not looking to grade but want to know how critical i need to be for filtering out the crap.

If they are from vending, then they can be much shorter side-to-side. I have about a dozen Rick Wise cards from a vending run I purchased and all are much narrower than the rest.

to be honest, i can't remember where they came from, maybe some were from ebay lots. i notice top to bottom they are all uniform but side to side i see some variation, but i don't see any wavyness or other tell-tale signs like uneven corner wear or bat-ears.
