1976 Topps Marvel Sticker Frank Castle RC AKA The Punisher Original Art card

I was looking for a high grade copy of 1976 Topps Marvel Stickers 'The Punisher' which is considered his 'Rookie Card' when I came across the Original Topps Vault Art Card. It was NOT cheap but it's the kind of piece where I knew I might not ever see it again and would kick myself for not getting it so I worked an off ebay deal for it (where it was listed for $599.00). The image is a classic one (Spiderman #129 cover is his first appearance).

That is VERY cool. Is it the actual artwork used to create the sticker, or a proof card?

Some of the Marvel cards from this set were drawn, others are recycled B&W Marvel images which are then hand colored. The Punishers card is the latter. When I blow the image up 400% on my scanner it's obvious it is hand colored. You can also tell there are some small differences in the coloring when comparing it the the comic cover... length of the fire from muzzle, color of gun etc...

Very cool original item. I always liked that card and wanted a 10 in it. I know where to get it in a PSA 9 for $20, but I want the 10! Congrats on the pickup!!
