As I typically do on the weekends ventured to my local shop to purchase any nice coins vams included. The local dealer attributes nothing
which is good. I have found at least 1/2 of the 8TF varieties over the past ten years, some circ or unc. Sat was a good day in that I found a
vam 14.8 spiked eyes in probably XF40. No pics haven't figured that out yet. This coin was off the market for probably of the market for 40-
50 years as it was in a dealers inventory whose son sold to the local B&M. Anyway $40.00 is not bad, but I thought I had scored another
another Vam 6 which are common. PCGS will share some of the good fortune when I drop it off in Baltimore next month.

I really admire the vam collectors in that they can pick out coins like that. The brain of a vam
collector or cherry picker must be vast in that you are able to remember sooooo many different
thing to look for. I forget to look at 1955 Lincolns for a double date but y'all just amaze me.
Great Work !!
