Question for the Walker collectors

How do you feel about die-polish lines on these if you have seen one? I used to not care for die-polish lines but recently seen a 41s with them, and semi-proof-like fields with some color. I actually kinda like it to see a bit of mirrored fields. Just something a bit different then I usually see.

Yeah, it's not a wild toned one. Actually it's not the kind of tone I usually care for. But with what I described so far, it also has very nice thumb detail, full and sharp skirt lines the go all the way up Liberty's left leg. Usually I see these that the skirt lines are well below the knee. Kinda tough on a 41s.

The San Fransisco Mint was like a red headed step child, seemed they always had to do more with less. I don't mind them all that much, but they can be distracting (eye appeal wise) in the open fields, but I've never seen them as bad as the Frisco Franklin series...some of those were just awful.

Yeah, but you are an eye appeal guy,and picky too, which is good,so do what your heart and wallet say.

Yes, picky and eye-appeal kinda guy I am. But I can also appreciate a coin that is a better strike than most. It does have eye-appeal, just a little different. Some folks might like the color (not you image ) and some not.
I already made up my mind. I like it.

Orginal skin and solid strike plus a fresh die on an 41-s means big bucks in most cases and probably one that might be worth it.

In general I don't mind them at all and in fact can find them interesting. However, when they go beyond typical die polish and into what might be termed die burn similar to what is seen on Mercs then I don't care for the look.

I wouldn't want a full set of Walkers with die polish lines but I do have a few in my set. My 29-S has a large number of die polish in the right obverse field but it actually has nice eye appeal.

If they are present to the point where they are distracting or look like hairlines, I'd pass, especially on a late date coin.
I made an exception on my 27-S walker, struck on a heavily clashed then repolished die. It was in a 62 holder, I guess
for the negative eye appeal. If it were a bust or seated coin, there would probably be an article on it.
Not a 'great' coin, but at high AU money I couldn't pass it up, and I sure don't see many of these around.
