How numismatically bright do you think I am?

Or you, for that matter? I'm asking because, for almost 2 days, I couldn't load this website nor my hotmail.
Had to do with FTP or FCP ports and reseting my router. Anyway, I'm back but as usual, I never seem to have much to contribute. I do enjoy reading what others are up to though.
How 'bout you?

would this place be a lot poorer without you but but many threads would die on the vine
or never be started at all. Most all the nickel guys write great posts though that doesn't mean I'm especially impressed by this particular one.
Anybody who thinks strike is key is aces in my book anyway.
<< <i>Yeah, I can't tell you guys how many times I decided not to post something I've written/typed because I'd eventually lose interest or didn't care or got bored with it, a point I wanted to make. I've hit the back button, quite a few times.

I blow away a lot of posts too. Someone once said it's better to hold your tongue so they don't know you're an idiot or something like that.
Shouldda blown away this one.
<< <i>Im 2 days into trying to figure out why my VCR wont play, so youre ok there. >>
What is this strange "VCR" device you speak of?
<< <i>VCR? Is that the same as "8 track?" >>
Too funny. I recently found an old 8 track player I used to have in my old Mustang. It had a Foghat tape in it. My son is still laughing.......I'm not sure if he found the 8 track player or Foghat more comical. MJ
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Me too- and sometimes I think of other stuff I want to look up and stop typing so I don't forget what I want to google and then I forget that I wrote anything to begin with.

Okay, Bear, I had to get out the dictionary for "perpicacity." It is rare that one reads material written with such magniloquence!

Another version is: "Better to hold your tongue and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
I come from the blue collar trade. Numismatics is a white collar trade, right ?
<< <i>I had the state of the art of VCRs when they were phasing out, hi-fi, dolby, programmable recording. My grandson thought it was pretty cool too when he used it for a garage for his hot-wheels cars. >>
Yes and most of us older guys had 8-track stereo tapes in the 1960's and CB radios were cool in the 1970's.- Where are they now?-In the trash heaps of yesteryear technology. I still have a big old heavy picture tube TV also (actually 2 of them), that I will use until they go bad.
Bob
edited to add: Oh, yes I still have 2 VCR's-I don't use them very much anymore though.
