Japanese Buyers Love Japanese Cards

I found a 2004 Ultra Platinum Medallion Hideo Nomo card numbered to 66 in a box and listed it for $9.95 or buy it now $39.95 on eBay. You know, in an hour and four minutes, someone in Japan bought it! I looked at what else the person bought, and he actually spends big (well, for "common" cards) money on Japanese players.

Moral of the story is, everyone dig out your low-numbered cards of Japanese players because there is a market!

I would say the moral of the story is do some research before pricing cards. This card would've easily brought $75-$150 if you let the auction run.

Tony, I gotta agree. Nice card, nice sale, but you left money on the table. When I was collecting Dodger Platinum Medallions, I always knew I had to be a little more aggressive on Nomos and Parks because of Japanese and Korean collectors.
