Anyone feel like guessing the grade? - GRADE IS IN!!!!

I subbed my CC membership voucher cards in the same package as my Oct special sub, and they logged the day they arrived.

I may be on to something, at least for one sub a year.

When I get home, I'll post the centerpiece of the voucher sub for your guessing pleasure.

UPDATE: I'm interested in opinions on the grade. I measured this one a bazillion times and it's OK on size. I check the sides for ANY sign of trimming - nada.

UPDATE 10/19: The Mick now resides in a brand-new 8 holder!!!

Wow! That's quite a speedy trip. I've held off on requesting those 90% vouchers, as they seem like quite a money sink due to return postage if you don't get a bunch of them first.

  • the right border looks slightly inward to me, it is probably the scan, but is the card bending at all?

thanks to my abilities as a stealth Internet spy, i've managed to capture an image from the PSA grading room after they took a look at your scan.....truth of the matter is, they pretty much know what's coming long before it ever lands in Newport Beach.....as much as i would like to support the efforts of the more exuberant graders on the assembly line, i'm afraid i'd be in agreement with the very serious looking old gray-haired dude.....but, best of luck with that. image

I hope it gets graded but I'm saying it doesn't, if it does PSA 9!

Looks like an 8.5 to me, however the borders look a bit unusual. Might also come back "evid of trim" or "min size" Hope it grades!

Good luck, the card is beautiful!

    PSA 7

Looks a little diamond-cut and the top right corner looks a little weak.

That said, still a sharp card.

I agree with Joe, 8.5 if it doesn't have any issues. Nice card.

I didn't bother to check all the sides for straightness other than viewing the scan, but I'm sure the dimensions are fine. Truth be told, I'd be happy with a 7 given what I have in the card, but anything beyond that would certainly make my day.

  • The very well proportioned slight tilt tells me it couldn't be trimmed and if the back has decent centering
and is clean, it should be a 9.

If it were a common you'd be looking at 8 or above, but my opinion is that since it's Mantle you will probably receive a 7.5

    Nice looking card.

Looks like an 8.5 to me but if it were mine it would be a 5 due to a hidden surface crease!

Thanks all. After I get done being excited about the Mick, I'll get a chance to think about the 65 Koufax that was also in the sub and popped higher than I thought image
