Serial Numbered Rookies

Hello my fellow PSA family. Let me start off my saying in new here and have a quick question. Alot of RCs these days are numbered. My question is does PSA keep track of these numbers? Say a card is graded a PSA 8 but you think its nicer than an "8" and want to crack it and resubmit it. Will PSA know that it has already graded the card by its individual serial number? Just something i have been curious about.
Thanks in advance
Dave

If they do, it's not in the flip. It'd be nice if they DID start tracking that sort of info though.

  • Not to sound dumb, but "flip" refers to the case correct?

I have just always wondered this. For example, say you were to buy 5 Pujol Bowman Chrome PSA 9 rcs /500. All centered and nice looking. You crack them all and resubmit them in hopes for a PSA 10. You would make a nice little profit if even 1 were to get a 10. I myself cant afford this type of experiment, its just something i have wondered about.

  • I highly doubt they track the numbers. If they did, why would we see a card go from a 9 to a 10? It shows inconsistent grading opinions.

The flip is the rectangular label at the top

    Slab is the whole case

    Isn't that a given?

They definitely do not track that.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • How are you so sure?
