Depending upon how and where those Raymond albums were stored for the past 50-70 years, there is a strong possibility that all of the active composition of those albums pages has been diminished to a point of no effect. Think of the fiber composition of those pages in a fashion similar to radioactive elements. Their elements do decay / chemically decompose over time in the atmosphere.
Right, it's like a half-life situation -- they'll still do it, but much more slowly than when they were new. Whatever it is that they offgas, a lot of it is gone.
That said, I have popped some coins into old Mehrig and WR albums, and they do still change.
You can still buy some of the boards new and never used. Here's a link to a site I found sometime ago. I acquired some of the Dime (Roosie) boards and was very, very pleased with what I received.

Soakem in a sulphur rich solution and they'll be just as good as new.

Yes they will but as will all natural toned coins it takes many, many years. From time to time they sell on Ebay for a slight premium.
