Why does the so-called "Fab Five" (1993 Michigan) get so much attention? WE have the REAL
As everyone in Big Blue Nation knows, our first NCAA Championship squad (who also won Olympic gold) in 1948 is called the "Fabulous Five" or "Fab Five" for short. But whenever you heard ESPN talk about the "Fab Five" or do a special on it, are they talking about our outstanding 1948 squad? Nooooooooooo. No, that's what the 1993 Michigan team (which didn't even win a championship) is always called. This despite the fact that this so-called wannabe "Fab Five" were CONVICTED CHEATERS (and Michigan does not even allow the mention of that name in their publications or in the arena) as if plagiarizing our Fab Five nickname wasn't bad enough!
Why does ESPN insist on this? We were the REAL Fab Five. Even without the cheating, Michigan PLAGIARIZED our nickname and didn't even win a title!! And yet they're the ones that get all the attention? In the famous words of John Stosell, give me a break.
C'mon ESPN, why don't you do a documentary about our 1948 team, the REAL Fab Five.
As for the 1993 Michigan squad, what should their new nickname be? Fraud Five? Fake Five? Or how about simply The Plagiarists?
PS: Sorry I accidentally put it in the wrong forum again; mods feel free to move the topic to Sports Talk if you'd like

I suggest editing your post and creating a new thread on the sports talk forums, rather than asking the mods to do it.
