He has one of the nicest types sets in the area, i've never met anyone quite like him. One saturday morning he left for a subdivision garage sale and for about $200. he bought silver and gold that he turned around the same afternoon at the local coin show for this nicely toned in hand 1863 3C pattern. If you see him at a show, say hi, his name is Greg.

Here is a dirty gold piece that my son bought several years ago. I'm trying to encourage his interest in Dahlonega gold, hoping that he will want to inherit my Dahlonega collection some day. This was the first piece that he bought, but now he owns two more D-Mint half eagles, including an 1842-D Large Date (PCGS VF20) and an 1860-D (PCGS VF35). He's a great young man, 20 years old, and a senior at the University of Alabama.
