New ebay format?

Is it just me or can you no longer enlarge ebay scans on completed items?

Any way to opt out of this?

    Just when you thought they couldn't **** things up anymore... the pictures must have cost too much to host, so they're giving us tiny thumbnails...

    Wow that really does kinda suck... this may hinder VCP's photo-saving process too.

    really not good...if you sell (2) 1967 mantles in the same week...you can't even read the flip
    on the new puny scan...

    and why did they do this ?
    so they can add more ad space for similar items...

    not cool in my book...

    anyway to get things changed back is to complain....

    I'm contacting my ebay manager...please do the same

    I sent my complaint in early this afternoon.

    Complaint sent.

    Still in a way this doesn't effect my listings. I use photobucket for all the cards I sell front and back scans for all my listings. Anyone can view them long after the listing has ended despite what ebay has done.

    I do the same thing, photobucket front and back, but if I buy a card and want to compare it to the scan once my card arrives, I would have to preemptively save the image to my computer before the auction ends. This REALLY sucks.

    I wasn't posting from a buyers standpoint. I was posting from a sellers standpoint.

    I agree as a buyer this stinks. As a seller I am not effected...

    this is a huge problem...

    we just sold 2 of the same cards both psa 8's and the picture is now puny and we can't see the flip...

    not good...

    The work around for now is to put a full size pic in your description. I've been doing it for years now and they remain there as long as they are in my Photobucket account and the item is still viewable on ebay (90 days?).

    To now see a normal size scan of a completed auction here is what you have to do:

    1) Right click on the thumbnail and click "view image info".
    2) There will be many different addresses of images, so find the one that appears to have the card name in it and highlight it and copy it.
    3) Paste that copied info into a new browser and you should see the larger image.

    Your settings may be different based on variables I may have that you don't (or vice versa), but you should be able to figure your own work around based on what I listed above.

    I went to leave feedback for an item I received yesterday, but my purchase history indicates I have no pending items (I have three items yet to be received.). How do I check purchased items not yet received and post feedback?

    Well, you need Firefox (unless Adblock also works with other browsers - I don't know if it does).
    Then you need to add the "Adblock Plus" extension, and the "Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus" extension.
    Than you can block pretty much anything rather easily. If you need additional help, let me know.

    looks like the complaints are being heard...

    my ebay manager just emailed me this:

    On occasion we will get requests from various departments within eBay to speak with sellers to get their opinions and suggestions.
    One such opportunity has arisen and I wanted to know if you would be a willing participant and if so if you might be available today and what times for a conference call?
