Did NGC get this Gold $20 wrong?

Bought this at the summer FUN in 2010.
Just realized today that I think I got myself a cherrypick.

If you paid a No Motto price for it, then yes, you got a cherry pick! I'd have them fix the "mechanical error."

that's a great looking coin, but it's not better than 64 i don't think. if you paid no motto money for it, you scored nicely.

The thing that strikes me as odd is how did it grade ms64?

But it's actually lost ground to gold since summer 2010. And if you hold it long enough, it's entirely possibly it will lose much of the premium it currently brings to a
no motto 1908 $20. This could happen at say $3,000 - $5,000 gold. As time goes on the cherry pick is slowly losing it's mojo. Why not turn that into several common
date MS63/64 $20's? When you first got that pick you might have been able to trade for 4 common $20's.

I wish I would have noticed it then....that's exactly what I would have done. I just realized it this afternoon when looking up recent sale prices.

Will they sticker counterfeits that have already made it into holders?
Or the other possibility could be the coin was submitted incorrectly and it slipped by
