Give me your thoughts.

These 3 cards have centering issues as you can see however what grades would they receive with or without Qualifiers.Card backs are as clean as the day they were born.

Just an absolute wild guess since the scans aren't large:

    Unitas - 7 OC
    Hornung - 6 OC
    Starr - 6

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

Still great looking cards. I would go without the qualifiers

    Johnny U- 5.5
    Hornung- 5
    Star-6

  • Morning,

If you put No Qualifiers on the form (Which sometimes they'll do, sometimes not) Cards are EX 5, EX 6, EX 6.5.

I like the Starr better than a 6, I bet it comes back 7-7.5

There are several approaches you could take depending upon the purpose.

For Registry value, I'd try the Unitas with qualifier as it MIGHT actually pull an 8 OC (I've seen really sharp 5's get the 8 OC from time to time). The 8 OC carries a Registry value of a PSA 6. Graded without the qualifier, it is a PSA 5 every day of the week (assuming the back is not miscut).

The others aren't as simple although I'd probably take the no qualifier route with them. The Hornung appears to be a borderline PSA 6 and the Starr, on a good day, might garner a PSA 7. With qualifiers, I'd expect the Hornung to be a PSA 7 OC and the Starr to be a PSA 8 OC. No real advantage either way, there.

    Good luck!

I am in agreement I think numerical wise I might be better off with qualifiers on these 3 .I am hpoing the bottom line is that they grade no lower than a 5.5 to 6 W/O qualifiers.I am working on completing a EXMT 1957 Set for my registery.

I also think the Starr will be minimum grade of 7.

Unitas & Hornung are 5-ish (centering is an issue)

The Starr is nice, probably a 6 (7 seems unrealistic because of corners).

    I'd submit all 3 -- they'll look good slabbed.
