This tool might come in handy with cards too

Found this over on a stamp collecting board.
The magnifying glass is fantastic and should work great to look at card condition too.

Its a pain in the arse but if you right click then "view page source" and hit Ctrl F and type in JPG and search through them until you find the http://i.ebay.com/ link you can copy paste the image URL to the stamp site to view the ebay image.

Heck all I want to do is save the image to my desktop and go from there.

I'm assuming you're talking about saving Ebay pics?
If you're using Internet Explorer, you can just click on the ebay pic to get the larger version, then right click it and use the save picture option
If you're using Chrome, do the same thing to get larger version and use the save as option to save the picture
No idea how to do it with Firefox though
see very well and it works great. Definitely saving this on favorites.
