No, it is not worth it. There is no limination that I can see. You mention 10%. What is this in reference to? The type B in itself is not worth grading fees in that condition.

    Just my two cents worth.

Cannot tell from the posted image. Even if it was, it is not worth the money to get graded. PCGS charges $50 per error coin. Then, if you want the type B on the label, another $24. Plus shipping to and from.

  • i don`t think PCGS will slab coins with laminations. they consider it damaged. someone correct me if i`m wrong on this.

the coin posted above isn`t worth sending in IMO.

LOL! It can get pretty pricey!

IMO, Tommy should only get it graded if he wants it for his "collection" as the retail sales price may not justify the grading expenditure which would be over $100.
    ($50 - error fee + $24 attrobution fee + $8.00 handling fee + $16.95 base shipping fee = $98.95)

They will slab lamination coins so long as the lamination is stable and not actively delaminating.

I can think of much better to do with that grand (can't believe you won something ELSE...folks, this guy is KING of radio give-away winners!)

As for grading laminations, they won't even holder peeling laminations, but will grade non-peeling laminations. I had, at one time, a W/C commem, with peeling like it was a sardine can. Once that became a coin that wouldn't holder, because of that reason, I sold it for multiples of what it was actually worth. People wanted a graded coin that wouldn't even be eligible for holdering today. Wish I could find the cert #.

Save the fees, Tom.......find a nice Cameo Superbird!!!!!
    I'll come up with something.

No as there's no real added value on that Washie's error over 90% silver.

I really appreciate all the replys yes the coin does have some meaning to me and the things I learned on this board about the B type's . Double error on one coin IS a cool thing to me. Maybe if I can get modcrewman to photograph it that would help my case image I will save my money and go back to the cameos, have to send in one more 64 b type (2nd One) to complete the set and thought this 56 would be the cats meow image Thanks all Enjoyimage

What is the double error? If you consider type B an error, it is not. It is a variation, as for the Lamination it could be just as you state but the picture is not clear enough to be sure.
