First war nickel find in a long time

My wife and I are on vacation with my step-son and his wife. We wanted to play Texas Hold-em but didn't bring the chips with us. She was going to buy some cheap plastic chips so I said I would buy a few rolls of pennies and nickels and we could use those....of course I just wanted to check out some rolls. Anyway, nothing eventful except the first roll produced a 41 Philly and a 43-S war nickel. I will take silver anywhere I can find it!

I find between 2-5 of them a week in roll searches. I just wish I could find more of the D mints - they are PITA's to find.

The only ones I can find I have to buy....image They are very nice, at least the really bright ones with the booming luster!! I am becoming more & more attracted to them for many reasons....Joe
