Advice on Autograph Item/Placement

I have the opportunity to get something signed by Andrew Luck (Stanford Football QB, Heisman favorite, and projected 1st overall draft pick) in the next few weeks. I plan to just keep the item, but if he becomes a successful NFL QB I might sell it so I'd like to maximize the monetary value of the signature. For this reason, I think a jersey signature would be best, but I'm not sure. Most of the replica jerseys I've seen do not have his last name above the numbers on the back (NCAA regulations I guess..), but a few somehow have the name as well. How much would the name above the numbers add to the overall value? Also, there's a special edition "blackout" jersey that Stanford only wears once a year and they're much harder to find. None of the ones I found had his name above the numbers but I think the actual jersey looks much cooler. I know absolutely nothing about sports memorabilia so I'd appreciate any advice you might have on the matter. Thank you!

I think your questions really depend on personal preference and not so much on monetary maximization. In other words, I'm not sure one choice would be better than the other. I, for one, like more "official" jerseys. For example, I'd rather a Yankee jersey signed by Jeter with numbers only on the back, as opposed to a jersey that has his name on the back as well. Others would differ from me. Likewise, i could care less if the jersey was a throwback, for example. Others might prefer that.

For your description, the black one sounds pretty cool.
