New Ancient

Below is the latest ancient I have acquired. Its pretty much a upgrade to another Maesa I had owned. Just a younger bust & much better details.

Julia Maesa (218 - 225 A.D.)
AR Denarius
O: IVLIA MAESA AVG Draped bust right.
R: IVNO Juno standing facing, head left, holding scepter and patera.
RIC 254 RSC 016

Isn't that an oxymoron?
Nice one, there. Reminds me a little of the one I used to own, though mine was a bit darker. (Edit to add: the portrait on your piece there is also a bit more flattering.)
Ditto to what mdwoods said about the strike and centering.

That was my first masea, older portrait/Pudicitia.
Ive gone through 3 Maesas, this current one I think will be the keeper for years to come.
