Anybody have any of these laying around? I have a partial set of of "The Monster", so I thought I would try to put together a Cardinals team set before I tackle the real thing. I was not happy when I found out that I was missing one single card - Billy Gilbert. Anybody have one? I wouldn't pay much for it (I would give one dollar above shipping cost), but if someone could help out a fellow board member, I would appreciate it.

Would this partial set be worth selling in team lots or selling the whole thing as a partial set? Would it be worth my time?

Sorry, you are asking for a free card so you can sell it? I think it would be a fun raw set to slowly work at.

He is building a Cardinals team set. In doing so he has a partial of the entire set.

He discovered he is missing one Cardinal and is willing to buy that one card.

He is asking what would be the best method of selling the non-Cardinals of the group of cards he currently owns.

With regard to his question, I would guess his team lot approach may be the best since these cards were issued as a set not as singles. Someone buying a partial set most likely would have to be satisfied with owning a partial set. Selling HOF'ers as singles or a lot may work, also.

I am building the Cardinals team set to keep for my collection. If you will read my post, I was not asking for a free card at all. I was saying that I would not pay much for it. I was saying that I would pay $1 ABOVE shipping cost. For a Billy Gilbert reprint card, I think that is probably $0.95 above what the card is worth.
