    You are definitely better off by contacting them direct, as you may get a variety of answers here.

    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

    It depends what you are auctioning, the total value of the consignment, the reserves, if any, you intend to apply, etc. In other words, I agree with Julian.
