Modern Help Needed - Derek Jeter

A friend of mine is looking for a Derek Jeter rookie card (graded) or a signed ball (PSA/DNA) and he called me for some info.

As I tend to focus on older cards and memorabillia I don;t have much knowledge on the subject so I thought I'd post
here for some help.

Can anybody help me with the following questions:

1) What make, year, card number, etc. is considered to be the Derek Jeter rookie card?
2) What kind of price should my firend be looking to pay in today's market for a PSA 7, PSA 8, PSA 9 or PSA 10 copy?
3) What kind of price should my friend be expecting to pay in today's market for a Derek Jeter signed ball (PSA/DNA authenticated)?
4) Can anybody suggest a reputable supplier for such items?

Thanks in advance for all follow-ups

Dave

  • You can get a signed ball with psa dna for anywhere between 200-300 depending on the sig and quality

There are quite a few different rookies but his better one would be the Sp This card

    a 7 can be had for about $70, 8 for $90, 9 for about $250, and 10 for $5,000

Honestly a 7 or 8 should do, not incredibly expensive but still nice examples of the card.

Also Jeters rookies are mostly 92 and 93, I don't have a huge knowledge and don't know about any pre rookies or anything.

Honestly there are so many graded 7's and 8's you shouldn't have a problem finding one on feebay, I'm sure a member here might have one too.

of course the "most valuable" is the SP, but it's quite ugly looking. Sadly, so is his Topps RC

imo, the Stadium is the best looking rookie

    Sure

Derek Jeter has many rookies. His Major League rookies are in 1993 there are 8 total. Bowman, Pinnacle, Score, Select, SP, Stadium Club, Topps, and Upper Deck. The 1993 SP #279 card is his most sought after rookie card.

1993 SP Jeter Rookie sells on the net for the following...

    PSA 7 = $65

    PSA 8 = $85

    PSA 9 = $500+

    PSA 10 = $5000

Depends on when the signature was signed. If it was in his rookie year then the signature will be worth more then one just signed yesterday. The signature will run around $200-$500 maybe more depending on year etc.

There really is no one seller that sells everything you are looking for. You have to look around and sometimes wait around.

Edit Add: If you want to get a signed Jeter ball. I suggest going through Steiner Sports. Or you could go through them to get a ball signed that you provide. They have Jeter signings through Steiner sports at least once a year.

Here is a compilation of all his major and minor league rookie cards that I have put together thus far.
