Question about 2009 Lincoln Cent

Am I just noticing that the 2009 Lincoln Cent has a small "of". Why was this done this way?

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

  • Not sure why, but just part of the design I suppose.

That's it, basically. The designer chose to do it that way. Gasparro's Lincoln cent memorial reverse is that way, as is Sinnock's Franklin half reverse. image

True, but the small "of" is only on the Presidential Years coins. The Birth Years, Formative Years and Professional Years all have an uppercase "OF".

    Interesting.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
