Question about 1969 and 70 "Tall Boys"

Hello all,
I have recently acquired a lot of 1969 topps basketball) "tall boys" in PSA 7. I would like to put these cards in a binder, however, the PSA holders make are quite big making it difficult to do so. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

  • You are probably going to have a hard time finding a way to put those in a binder. I ran into the same issue with my 1965 Topps FB set. Never did find a solution.

Here's a solution that I have tried that takes a lot of patience lol. I got 8X10 photo mats that hold 5X7 pictures and put the card in PSA holder in the photo mat. Unfortunately, the card fits width wise but not length wise so I took an exacto knife and cut the bottom part of the photo mat to make the card fit. Then I put the card (inside the photo mat) into a single pocket sheet thats meant to hold 8X10 items. The measuring and cutting takes some time and patience because your measurement has to be exact along with the cutting. If done right, the photo mat will hold the card into place so that it can go in the one page pocket in a binder and it will never move from the photo mat. If done incorrectly, it will for sure move. I attached a pic of my 1969 Nate Thurmond so you or anyone else who is looking for a possible solution can see.
