while taking a look at some of my 2010 5 oz i noticed the spots. actually i didn`t even see it with the naked eye but after taking photos for ebay and getting the pics on my computer the spots really jumped out. it is graded MS68 PL. has anyone else found the milkspots on the 5 oz coins? i also have a 2006 20th anniv. PR70DCAM silver eagle with the spots. if i send them back under the grade guarantee what would PCGS do with them? is it worth it?
the pics are not the best but you can see the spots easily.

<< <i>Sorry to hear that... Can you imagine if you just bought a 69DMPL and a year from now the same thing happens... >>
That would SO suck, but it's what the guarantee is for.

<< <i>Send them in for "spot check". They'll give you a the coin back raw plus some cash or just buy them back for a fair price. They'll give you the 2choices and you pick one. Takes about 30 days. I just sent out 19 2011 fs ms70 eagles and the offered me $100 ea or $60 plus the coins (spot was $41). Took 5 weeks total turnaround.
Hope this helps >>
thanks for your response. 19 coins? wow!!! 19 out of how many? i`m asking cause i have a bunch of 2010`s and 2011`s stashed. guess i should look at them.
He who knows he has enough is rich.

thats a lot. i have only had the two mentioned above.
If they do take a buyout, or take partial cash plus coin, hold on to coin for the upcoming swing and sell it off then, or send it to the smelter. 5oz of silver can be a huge price difference with a $5 increase in price of silver
