Hampton won't be attending the white house bears reunion

President Barack Obama recently extended an invite to the 1985 Chicago Bears for a long-delayed visit to the White House. One Hall of Famer from that team will not be making the trip.
Former Bears defensive tackle Dan Hampton told Chicago's 890 WLS-AM that he would not visit the White House in October.

"It's my personal choice," Hampton told WLS. "I don't choose to go."
"Secondly, I’m not a fan of the guy in the White House, and third, it was 25 years ago. Let it go.”
According to the report, Hampton was bothered that players' wives and children were not also invited.
"It basically just rolled off our backs, and now, 25 years later to say, ‘Let’s put the band back together.’ No, I’m not in,” Hampton added.
Hampton, elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, made four Pro Bowls and was a four-time All-Pro selection. He was a member of the 1980s All-Decade team and an All-Rookie selection in 1979.
President Obama is a noted Chicago sports fan -- including the Bears -- and will welcome them to the White House on Oct. 7. Earlier this year, he hosted the rival Green Bay Packers at the White House following their Super Bowl victory.
