<< <i>I use ESnipe I been using if for years and I have (Knock on wood) yet to have a problem... >>
It looks like Esnipe is not free. Is there an advantage to this site over gixen? >>
Here are the differences I can see between Esnipe and Gixen -
Esnipe is not free but you only pay esnipe when you win. They break it down for you what you pay per auction amount.
eSnipe charges 1% of the winning auction price with a minimum fee of $.25 and a maximum fee of $10.00 (U.S. dollars). If you don't win an auction, there's no fee. The fees break down like this: Winning Bid Your Cost Auction wins for under $25 $0.25 Auction wins between $25-$1,000 1% of auction price Auction wins for $1,000 and over $10.00
Esnipe ensures your snipe is placed every time if you win or loose through their multiple servers. They only get paid if you win. So you know they will place your snipe through more then one server.
The "Free" Gixen only uses one server to send in your snipe. If by chance that server is having network issues or is in the middle of maintenance, your snipe is not ensured to go through. If you pay Gixen a monthly "fee" they ensure your snipe is placed from two different servers. They charge you monthly fee for the two server snipe placed service.
I am not trying to pimp esnipe. If there is a better one out there I would like to check it out myself. I can say I have been using esnipe for years. I never had a problem with them. Every snipe I placed has gone through every time.

Just wanted to add that Gixen's paid version is $6 per year, not per month.
At 50 cents a month, it's tough to beat imo

I see some mention of a history function on esnipe. Twiley, is that something you use or have tried? That seems like it could be quite useful and gixen doesn't have that functionality.
FWIW, I've been using gixen for at least 3 years and have never had a snipe not go through due to server problems.
well, there could be two reasons I chose to post "gixen". Either it was because you were so specific with your "sniper" link, or it was because I automatically ignored what you had to say. That's a learned behavior many here have adopted.

Some ppl just don't know how to let things go and move on I guess...
Aric - Yes, I do use that feature and the others all the time on esnipe. I have been for the past couple of months thinking about switching to another snipe program though.
