    Hi Doug,
To answer the question of was it what I expected? I really felt good is was NM-MT. I think it's a real strong 8 with just the most beautiful slight rough cut on the top border which to me really gives it the strong unaltered look for sure. The 1955 Bowman is one of my favorites and always has been.

Thanks guys for all the nice comments.

That's a real beauty. Where'd ya get it?
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • That is....schnazzy
  • Super card! Very nice.

How did that not grade at LEAST an 8.5? I dont think I will ever get the .5 scale. It seems kind like BS to me. I see a card like that and it totally deserves at least that .5...centering is there, registration is there...whats not to make that card better? Its incredible, Mickey!

I actually do think it should be an 8.5. It's one of the best ones I've seen. It was a crossover from SGC 88. I knew it was a special card...I literally had it hand picked by Mr. Dwyer formerly from SGC. I told him exactly what I wanted and he delivered.

As far as the crossover.....I sent it in with confidence. I put minimum grade 7------This was my thinking....no way was it trimmed, high end all the way, if it had some wrinkle it would be a 6 or lower so that's why I put 7. I'm sure PSA looked at it and said at least 7...cracked it out then said put it in the 8 holder. Someday I may send for review; but no urgency right now. I'm actually thinking this is the way crossovers have to be handled by me in the future.

I think that's a pretty solid crossover strategy.
