Question on 81 Donruss BB cases

Can anyone tell me if the 1st run 81 Donruss BB wax boxes came in the white or brown cases? I have one of each and I know one was the first run with the errors and one was the later run cards. I use to have it in my database but I lost it when my hard drive crashed and it was not on my printed out copy.

If this helps BBCE sells a box of 81 Donruss for $40, but for any of us on the forum it's only $36. I would be interested in a box.

If it helps, here is a picture of the two cases. At the moment I am just trying to figure out which is the first run case (I think it is the white case but not positive). Does anyone remember if there is a way to tell from looking at the boxes like you can with the trademark on the 81 Fleer packs?

I bet if you sent Steve (BBCE) an email he would be more than happy to help you if he can.

    Hello Jim,

I agree with Doug. If you go to the BBCE website and select the Contact Us section, you can send Steve an email and attach the picture from this post. I would think he might know which case was from the first run.

    Good luck. image
