Need value of long lost Canadian set

What's the current value for a Canadian 1908-1998 which I believe is called the Antique finish. I had "misplaced" this set for about 2 years and just found it today. Any value info is appreciated.

No value whatsoever, unfortunately....... but I will generously take it off your hands, if you'd like!image

Seriously, though, looks interesting.... can we get a close-up?

    1. Are those legal tender coins? If so, then they're worth 91 cents, Canadian.

    2. Are four of the coins actually silver? If so, they're worth melt, which is a whole lot less than last week.........whooooossssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! image

    3. #s 1 & 2 above would value the set at substantially more than Arsenal. image

And finally, FWIW, I sat beside the guy that bought Pittman's original 1908 proof set at the Akers sale in 1999.

It was a collectible set made to commemorate 90 years since the opening of the Royal Canadian Mint. All of the coins are made of sterling silver. There was a Matte proof ("antique finish") version as well as a Mirror proof version.

There's a BIN on Ebay for it of $65.

    SIXTY-FIVE BUCKS?????

You could get Arsenal and Wolverhampton for that kind of money.

    Thanks Poker.

Mac, I don't think I would pay that much for Arsenal at the moment.

Wasn't there an error on one (or all) of these sets, whereby the name CANADA (or something like that) was left off the coins entirely? Somebody here will surely know what it is I'm talking about.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

All of the cents in the Antique finish version of this set do not have Canada.

$50 is a reasonable value for this set. Issue price was $99.

These generally sell in the $50-$60 range on eBay.
The antique finish sells for a slight premium over the mirror finish.
The coins are all sterling silver, including the cent which is copper plated.
More info can be found in the current Charlton Catalogue Volume 2 on page 285.
