When will CU Admin fix the advanced search function on these forums???

Every time I go to advance search on these forums I get this error....

<< <i>The page you were accessing requires variables to be passed to it. Error Code: 100 >>

I am using most recent firefox version. I also tried another linux web browser and still I get the error. I also get this error on my wife's laptop which uses firefox as well. Before you get on the Bill Gates wagon and suggest IE. I can't use IE because I use linux! Don't tell me to use google search. That is ridiculous to have to use google to search these forums. Is there any idea on when CU admin will address this problem? It appears that these super out dated forums need to be updated or fixed so users can use the advanced search function again. I am not to happy about this as it has been weeks and looks like there is no fix in the future.

Sorry to rant but I am missing out on stuff I am interested in on the BST forums. I am sure of it.

Please fix the forums

TIA

Never. I'm pretty sure PSA doesn't employ an in-house programmer. You should direct your complaint to: FuseTalk 3.0 - Copyright © 1999-2002 e-Zone Media Inc. They appear to be the vendor of the software PSA uses for these boards.
  • The software for the board is so old and outdated i don't think anyone could fix it lol

    I don't believe it's a board issue, it's a browser issue.

I have IE6 installed on a machine and the advanced search function works just fine through that.

Yeah, the search function doesn't work with Firefox or Google Chrome. Communists... image

  • So basically. These forums won't get fixed. They are outdated. Well the older they are the more likely one day someone will hack them...

It *is* a forum issue. If more then one browser has this error but only one browser doesn't. Its a PHP code fix. It should be fixed for security purposes....

I used to code. In fact I used to run a website that had forums. When ever IE or firefox did an update and people would complain on the forums. I found myself scrambling around fixing the issue.

I guess there is no fix in site.

I bet Derek Jeter's smile could fix 'em for you.
  • I just tried it and it worked for me.

I doubt Jeter's could but Oral Hershiser's smile could. Right Gheynote...
  • Let's face it. The technology behind these forums is outdated. CU's business of card grading is probably slow and they are not reinvesting in some of the add-ons such as this forum. Not an encouraging sign. I'm not sure if this is a coding issue but every other web-site I use that allows comments (NYTimes, YouTube) has a like button that allows you to agree with a post. Here, we re-post everything in italics and enter +1. Definitely Bedrock-like.

I've had the same problem for at least six months.
