So, I decided to start a 1933 Indian Gum Set. I've always liked it and after picking up a few cards (i.e. Billy The Kid, Buffalo Bill, Geronimo) I was hooked.
I'll be going the registry route but plan to limit the set to PSA 5, 5.5, and 6's. Mainly because most the ungraded stuff looks like crap, PSA 4's and below are pretty soft, there's a noticeable jump to PSA 7's and big leap to most 8's and 9's. For the most part PSA 5's and 6's are still great looking cards... and won't cost me the $60K a PSA 6 GPA 1933 Goudey Baseball set sold for.
I plan on just doing a straight set, not going to seek out every variation, but will mix them in as they come, the blue cards are pretty nice.
If anyone has any cards or leads to cards for sale, please post, they would be greatly appreciated.
I'll probably post some images as I build it.

I have to give Mickey from www.mickeyssportscards.com a shout out, what a awesome guy to deal with! I've purchased from him in the past when completing some Topps autograph sets and had good success. A total professional from timely email turnaround, very friendly, accommodating, good prices, well packed etc... HIGHLY recommended. Wish he had more cards I needed!
I'm already at about 25% but now that I've scavenged the net for cheap 5's and 6's I think things will slow down considerably.
I love the look of these cards, I'll probably scan pics for my Registry soon and post some here.
This endeavor will be a journey not a sprint!! There are numerous cards that are hard to come across even when you just do the Basic set with no variations.
