What is the difference in a scuff and paper loss?

    Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    But couldn't a scuff be paperless but on a lot smaller scale? The reason I ask is the scuff on Ted chin and the scuff on the back of the Gehrig beside the word "what"look like paperless.
