OK. DA IRISH are 0-2 ... Tough game today against Mich St. ... I know you are a die hard alumnus/fan. The last 20 seconds of last week's game must have killed you. If today's game is close at the end, I ask that you video yourself watching the game and upload it for us to watch.

PLEASE, IF ND goes to 0-3 DO NOT take it out on your autographed Rookie Card collection, OK? LOL

GOOD LUCK! I'm rooting for them as well.

ND is arguably the most overrated team in college football. How in the world did this team rack in the preseason top 20? Betting against them is like money in the bank!

I agree with everything about this statement except for the use of the word "arguably". I don't think there's an argument at all. They ARE the most overrated team in sports year after year.

Tim ... so are you saying that giving up 28 points in the 4th quarter was NOT a good thing? LOL

Actually, giving up 28 points in the 4th quarter is very difficult to do. Only special teams can do that. image

I feel the love image At times they are overrated and at times they are overhated. They get a lot of misplaced hype, much like Eastern baseball teams, and they get a lot of undeserved hate and more scrutiny then any other team, much like the Yankees. Win or lose, people care one way or the other, and that's what makes it fun. It is what it is.

Carry on, back to the game now.

I've got a non-college football question for some of those that might be in the know.

If the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers finish with the same regular season record, what is the tiebreaker used to determine who hosts a AL Division Series? (assuming that Yankees and Red Sox are the division winner and wild card recipient, Yankees will host a series and Texas/Detroit will host the other against Boston)

Oh well, that would be advantage Detroit then.

    Here you go Mike...

The first tiebreaker will be head-to-head competition between the two Clubs during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Clubs with the higher winning percentage in intradivision games during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Club with the higher winning percentage in intraleague games during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Club with the higher winning percentage in the last half of intraleague games during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Club with the higher winning percentage in the last half plus one of intraleague games during the championship season. This process will be followed game-by-game until the tie is broken.

Tim ... hoping you were not one of the ones who thought getting 6 points with the number #15 team in the country against a winless team was "money in the bank". LOL (Seriously, hope you didn't play State today.)

To finish your statement: Betting against them is like money in the bank IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY.

Mike ... you think your Rangers match up better against DA YANKEES or BAHHHHstun.

    Doug,

As far as giving the Rangers the best opportunity to advance to the next round, I'd prefer they play the Red Sox. The Rangers have basically owned them the last couple of years and match up very well against them. Plus, I think right now, the Red Sox are by far the worst baseball teaml of any of the contenders/pretenders in the AL.

As far as wanting to beat an opponent though, I'd much rather the Rangers knock off the Yankees instead of the Red Sox. I have no ill will at all towards the Red Sox, but I despise the Yankees much like many despise Notre Dame. One of my all time favorite sporting moments was when Neftali Feliz struck out arod last year to advance the Rangers to the World Series.
