The baseball card wall

A couple months ago I posted a thread looking for bulk baseball cards for a friend who was going to plaster her son's wall with them. You guys were quick to offer help and now that it's done I wanted to show you the finished project. Her son loves it!

Great job! What did she use to put them on the wall?

She laid out a pattern of posterboards (trimming as necessary to fit around doors/outlets/etc), then mounted the cards on the posterboards and put the posterboards on the wall.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

And to think, when we were growing up we had to worry about our Moms tossing our cards out.

I really like the idea. You could even take some of your star players (since all players have dirt cheap cards) and do a wall of your favorite star players. Or better yet, a wall of cards of your favorite team. I have thousands of Cardinals cards. However, my wife would have a fit. If I ever get a room for my collection (like an office room), I might just do something like that.

  • I guess this kid won't have to worry about mom throwing away his baseball cards. That would be tough.
