Bob's Blog: 1960 Topps print run hint found

After sending good wishes to Bob, I went over to catch up on his blog and found this gem which speculates on Topps print run for 1960. I haven't seen this posted here & know that a lot of folks have asked about vintage print runs. Thoughts?

BTW, this speculated press run is MUCH LOWER than I would have guessed.

Whoever "speculated" this has a substantial supply of the key cards from 1960?

    That's my guess.

ETA: I actually read the blog. I'm a jackass.

The numbers do not surprise me at all. I have been stating for a while now on these boards that the Topps Tiffany and Score Glossy cards from the 1980s(with print runs mostly in the 3000 to 15,000 range) are much more difficult to find both online and at card shows than just about any card dating back to the 1950s.

Seeing as how Burgundy runs across more 60's than any other year in the 60's except 68's........I agree
