I'm pretty new to using VCP but I can't locate GPK cards on it under the "non-sports" section. Sorry.

If you're selling, I'd be interested in the PSA 8 Nasty Nick though...

If there are no recorded sales of a PSA 9 keep your card or put it at a really high price and see what happens.

The longer people have to wait the more they want the card.

Thanks everyone! Dpeck I put it on ebay. Sold the 8 already. Here's a link to the PSA 9..

    Perfect!

If they want it at your price great, if not no big deal.

If this is a really rare card I would be patient.

If not hit the bid if you feel the bid is right.

Well said brother. Thanks again and when you are ready to sell me some '82 Hogan's let me know. I have a PSA 7 and 8 now, need a 9 and counting on you to pop a 10(wishful thinking) image

I have two of the five PSA 9's. None of my cards are for sale in any grade and I am waiting for a bunch to get back from the signing in CA.

There won't be a PSA 10 Hogan unless they get much easier on the top to bottom centering. None of the BGS 9.5 have a chance of crossing. Dealers sent them to BGS on purpose.

    Nice work on your sub!

Nice work on the Hogan's! Get some scans up of whatever you get signed please.

    Will do.

I have 9 Hogan's that got signed. Four of the 1982 Wrestling All Stars and 3 were BGS 9 crack outs, both colors of the O-Pee-Chee and 3 of the 85 Topps.

When is your mega sub of the 85 Topps going to hit?

Funny you ask..I just purchased a rack box(85 topps) and not sure what I'm going to do with it but will probably bust all the packs. I'm thinking of subbing those in January. I am up to maybe 19 Hogan #1's now, and a few look like they have a strong chance at a 10. You should get a mint rack header card autographed one day. That would look cool. I have if you ever need one.

I am assuming you won the rack box a week or so back for $206. If so I think that was a really good price for that item. I figured at least $250 and perhaps more.

I threw a very weak $150 bid on it just in case but no such luck. The odds of sealed 1985 Topps WWF being worth a ton long term are quite small and I would think busting them open looking for high grade cards from the set is a good idea. If a PSA 10 Hogan ever hits and a high dollar seller is the one doing the transaction it will bring a very nice number.

There have been enough graded now where someone would pay big bucks as the odds of a lot more hitting the pop run are very small. I think you can draw the comparison to a Wayne Gretzky, not it overall price but in terms of a card with a lot of interest that there are just two graded Gem Mint and they sell for a massive percentage above a PSA 9 or SGC 9. In no way I am suggesting a Hulk Hogan Topps card is as highly sought after as a Gretzky, I just think that nice Pop 1 would put a feather in someone's cap.

Good luck with those for sure.

I agree with you Dpeck. I will most likely bust most of the packs and keep a few unopened with good cards on top. I have a rack with 3 Hogans on top including #1 and a Hogan sticker on the back also. I think the empty box is pretty rare as you never see them, but maybe people don't think there is a market for them. There has been OPC #'s 1 and 16 just graded and the seller tried to get $999 and $799 for each but did not get that. I think the US cards are more wanted though.

I think the problem with those two Hogan's is they were sheet cut and made it through PSA. There is no way that you will find an 85 OPC from the first set with those razor sharp corners and edges. There have been three sheets of the OPC set surface and sell in the past few months and I am almost 100% positive those were cut straight from a sheet. I had the same idea and bailed on it. I showed them to a dealer I trust and he agreed 100% with me. There has never been one box surface sealed from that set and there have only been four cards in total graded. I just can not see a way that a Hogan from the Topps series has never been awarded a 10 and the first two submitted from OPC was. I am buy no means bashing PSA as all of my cards are graded by them and only have a few left in BGS holders but I do think a mistake was made here and becuase so few had been graded they slipped through the cracks. Just my opinion.

Very possible. I saw some sheets for sale but never thought anyone would try to cut the cards out and sub, if that happened.
