Worthless 1950s baseball cards...and Elvis! (Now with scans!)

I wanted to share a story that happened to me yesterday.
I had a lady come into the store last night wanting to sell some items. She had a stack of Boxcar Elvis cards which she said she "knows are valuable" and a stack of 1950s Baseball cards that she said she "knows are worthless."
I looked through the stack of VG 50s cards and found a 1954 Topps Ted Williams (#1), 1954 Topps Jackie Robinson, 1955 Topps Harmon Killebrew RC, 1955 Topps Sandy Koufax RC and a 1953 Bowman Color Whitey Ford.
I informed the lady that her Elvis cards were worth about $5.00 and that I could give her a few hundred dollars for her very much NOT worthless baseball cards. As it turns out, she took the cards to a pawn store first and the guy there told her the baseball cards were worthless (he also didn't try to buy them). She was finally referred to my store after visiting a comic book store.
I sold the 54 Ted Williams before I had a chance to get these scans.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I did buy them. They're nice looking cards, but nothing to get too excited about condition-wise. They'd likely be no better than PSA 3s. I currently have no plans on scanning them. We'll likely just sell them in the store. If I do end up with scans/pictures, I'll post them. I don't work again until Friday.

Too bad you are not going to scan to show us. Not looking to purchase them, but always nice to see what a fellow board member picks up. If you paid $300.00 for them looks like it was fair for both of you. If you slabbed them and got 3s on all, value is somewhere around $500.00
