Player Collectors...do you collect variations even though they dont mention it on the flip?

sorry for the long Subject title.

i was wondering if you guys collected variations/errors of your player when adding to your registry, even though they arent recognized.

for example, there are these two George Brett base cards in the 1988 Donruss release:

  • I collect all kinds of variations for my player sets that aren't on the flip such as color variations, back variations, caption variations, and so forth. What I usually do is to add the highest graded on to my Registry set, but then for that card, also add scans of the other variations, and put in the Comments what variations I have, and which ones I still need. Here are a couple of my color variations. What are the differences between the two Brett cards?

On the Brett, the borders are a mirror image of each other.

For the most part yes. I try to pickup all the variations I come across, but I'm not OCD about it.

What was the deal with the Donruss cards? One was from packs, the other from factory sets? Is the back reversed?
