Insight please :)

I'm going to look at a lower dollar collection within the near future, and he has quite a few nice items and I've pretty much got my mind made up that I am going to purchase it if it is as promised. (I will get scans and photos up tomorrow if I do)

One of the cards he has is the 1984 Jordan Olympic XRC (This is all the info I have, I don't know which it is, but I'm leaning towards the brown one), I don't know which one it is, but it seems like these are lower dollar cards ($10-$20)

Why is the card so cheap? Is it because it is an off brand, or is it some sort of later year reprint stating 1984?

The guy was offering some pretty solid deals, and offering free cards as well (with each $1 purchase, 100 free cards, I'm sure 90's stuff). I asked him if he had more than he stated on the ad and he said that he had a large amount of memorabilia and cards. He said authenticated Jerry Rice memorabilia, and a "storage unit full" of memorabilia and cards, when asked about the price he said $400, and i figure even if there is a good amount of junk I'm pretty sure it would be worth the risk.

I kind of figured with the "spend $1 and receive 100 more cards (in addition to what you purchase for that dollar)" made it seem like he was pretty motivated to sell.

Thanks for the read and will get you photos and an update as soon as possible.

Sean

Edited to add he just called me and said $300, he has Babe Ruth GU Bat card, Kobe GU Ball card, Feller autograph and more.

Like the previous purchase I posted, I do my best to offer them their asking price if it is a good deal, sadly I close at work tomorrow and might end up having my father pick it up.
