How does one find common cards that are impossible to find??

Hi, I have been looking for a few 2000 Bowman Chrome refractors for the last 11 years with no luck. The cards are rookie cards but the players are unknowns.
Are there any tactics I can employ that could assit me in my search? Does anyone know where I could possibly look/go/call to find these cards?
I have seen hundreds if not thousands of Tom Brady rookie refractors from this set sell over the years, but these other rookie cards must be super short printed.

I say ditto to those sites for most commons. However, in the case of refractors, I feel your pain. Wow, 11 years is a long time. That doesn't sound too promising for me. I have been looking for a few 2001 Topps Retrofractors to complete my Cardinals team set run for nearly a year with no luck. I need -

Standing on the sidelines with a coke in hand I took a sip as I read the title of this thread.

Soda came pouring out of my nose.

What do you mean? Do you mean the irony of "impossible commons"? If so, the definition of "common" is non-star cards. Some non star cards are impossible to find. If that is not what you mean, then clue me in on what you meant.

I think he means: the OP has asked "how do you find something that is impossible to find." It's a question that contains a contradiction.

e.g. How do you survive an instantly fatal injury?

After those four National League games, Gorman Thomas was never the same, and neither were the Brewers, and come to think of it neither was I.
